Skipping on this deal to get the Amazfit GTS2 watch that will be released November 1st. It'll be the same price and the battery will last for over a week. And on top of that it does oxygen sensing.
I've owned a Samsung gear s1 and S2 and had lots of issues with them after getting their updates. The watch would go into blue loop and then the watch no longer worked. I contacted Samsung and they never responded. so now I'm avoiding all of their Samsung watches. I know it's for some of you will say that their watches have improved but after owning two and have failed on me no thanks. And on top of that the two watches only lasted me no more than eight to nine hours. I would like to watch that can last me at least a full day. And I'm talking about from morning to evening.
how does she wear it? does she move the watch up a her wrist a little to compensate?
i dont know how the other person said it doesnt look big on her. I find the 40mm big enough on my girly 6in wrists. As much as i wanted to use the 44mm (which i also have) it just looked too big on my wrist. I guess watch size/look is very subjective
I have the 44mm, picked it up back in June. I really feel the GWA2 is as close to an Apple Watch as Android users are going to get.
I've been working on taking care of my health a lot more since staying at home, and the Galaxy watches have the equivalent to the 'rings' on the AW in the form of a heart. I call in my 'Magic Heart' and my wife makes fun of me for it but it makes me happy when I complete it! I mostly use it for fitness bands, bodyweight tracking, and runs, and I've found Samsung Health to be an excellent tool. You'll see some complaints around the internet about ads, and it definitely has those. But think of it as having to view ads instead of paying for a subscription. At least that's what I do. There are some good built-in fitness classes and meditation resources, which is comparable (in my mind) to what Apple is introducing for like $10/month. I'll take the ads.
Battery life for me is about 2.5 days, bluetooth on, wifi off, heart rate monitoring every 10 minutes, overnight sleep tracking, usually a 30-40 minute workout in there. I typically drop it on the charger either overnight or when in the shower/giving my kids a bath. I've used the waterlock feature while getting very wet with no problems at all.
The biggest drawback is the lack of 3rd party apps, and in that area it can't even come close to AW or even Wear OS. Bixby is an OK enough watch assistant for basic tasks (reminders, texts, timers, etc) and the basic apps are all I need, though I wish it could get some extras (a Roku remote app would be dope).
Basically if you care about fitness or just want a stylish addition for your phone, this is a great choice. It's great for not looking at your phone as much and is a great value at this price. I've gotten 3-4 big updates in the last few months, so expect good support from Samsung in the long term.
Love this watch! I bought it for about $230 last year at Costco. Surprisingly I've never needed to use the spare charger as my Note10 has the reverse wireless charging feature when I traveled

I have the 40mm and I think it looked normal. I'm a pretty slim dude at 5' 10 inches and I think I have slim wrists. My sister has this the 44mm and I tried hers on. I was definitely much larger, but not as bad as I thought it would look. She thought it looks normal. The most noticeable thing for me was how improved the experience was with actually using a larger screen. Not to mention battery life would get a pretty nice boost too (which is already good). The reason I was hesitant was regrets about too large of a size, but I use this more than for health (workout, sleep tracking, alarm for naps, etc) than fashion. There other 40mm non-smart watches I would wear for those purposes.

Samsung Galaxy Active 2 Smartwatch 40mm - Silver - Bonus Charging Dock https://www.costco.com/samsung-ga...16699.html
Trying to decide if it's worth more for the bonus, 5% cash back, and the extra warranty.
