For 360 and OG Xbox games, lot of people don't know that if they don't claim it off the old market place they won't own it permanently. If they click on the new store link that OP posted and claim it then they will have access to it only until their Gold/GPU subscription is active.
Don't get me wrong, personally I prefer to use the old marketplace and to go through the actual Free purchase motions because it makes it much more obvious that you now own the game, but it does appear that it's not always required to do so in order to permanently add the game to your library.
I'm curious if anyone knows what if any games genuinely require using the old store or not, and if so what it is that differs about those games in order to make that a requirement.
