I bought a Cuisinart food processor and a Vitamix blender and feel like both of those are overkill. I'd probably be better served by something like this. Would have saved some money too.

Great price imo. Pulled the trigger. Does anyone know if this can make peanut butter?

Some really negative reviews on amazon about parts breaking has me leery. Has anyone had bad experiences like this?
I have owned this for about 5 years and it works great. No broken parts or anything.

Got this/similar past winter, good power & versatility. Really loud, as others mentioned. Hard heavy plastics. Salsas, chutneys, sauces are efficiently dealt with. Definitely not near a premium Vitamix/Blendek but then again a fraction of the price.

I think I paid similar (~$100 w/ free s/h plus sales-tax) from Best Buy or Walmart as Amazon had N/A.

Don't really have any use for the food processor. Is it common for similar blenders without the food processor feature to be cheaper than this? Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody else experience those horror stories of the blending containers exploding, chipping, etc?
Got similar deal a while back. Been using the single serve for smoothies to try to reduce blood pressure and eat better. So far the only issue I have had is keeping the rubber seal clean, even with immediate cleaning after use. I use frozen fruits with smoothie liquid mix as it is cheaper than fresh fruits and IMO easier on the unit than fresh fruits and ice. It is loud, and puts out a noticeably better smoothie than my old blender or my mom's vitamix.
