I know next to nothing about TV's (and I'm sure the TV guru's will chime in on this one if it is no good) but I do know that this Samsung 70" just dropped $150 in price and is now a bit more attractive to my budget.

Then three years ago, I found a 60" kuro elite at a drop off recycle center. I paid the guy $10 for it, brought it home, plugged it in, and was surprised to find that it worked exceptionally. Last year, I upped the voltage through control cal software, and its good as new.
On the other hand, I finally began using my samsung ks8000, and after less than a year of use, I have a massive white line bleed on the screen.
I've heard that samsung might fix it out of warranty, but if not, how does this samsung tv on this thread compare?
Or better to just wait for the Sony 800-900 to go on sale again?

But I just looked at a thread that was two weeks old on samsung forums, where samsung sent a repair guy for free to fix or replace the light bleeding panel for free of charge.
Its a common issue.
My philosophy is, Samsung shouldn't do it for free at this point, on a tv from 2016.
Perhaps a $100-200 fee, something that says its our fault, but the warranty has been expired for two or more years, but we wont leave you hanging, nor profit from the repairs.
Definitely not the brightest tv, but for older folks used to crappy electronics, they were very happy.
the biggest is the panasonic tc-p50s2
ive been looking at this sammy since i saw it on bestbuys site the other day.
living room is mostly streaming services and fire tv cube gen 2. some light xbox gaming also
decent for this or go a step up?
other tv would just be connected to fios and fire tv stick. just a minimum upgrade to 4k

The good: good price for the size
The bad: the UI is so slow!! My TCL Roku TVs everywhere else in the house are a much better user experience!!!
Because of the slow UI, I really wish I'd just went with something else.
