Things to consider:

**Best part about this deal is Costco warranty/return policies which is extremely lenient and customer-centric.

***Compared to Acer's own limited warranty policies for monitors, Acer products are "allowed" to meet a threshold/failure rate of less than or equal to 5 dead sub-pixels before qualifying for warranty as a defective product within the 3-year limited warranty period.[/B]
Manufacturer Monitor Warranty Policy - https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IN/content/dead-pixel

People keep posting confusing comments..

1) You can order the monitor now for current price
2) Since this is online exclusive, you CANNOT get price adjustment in store (Store will simply ask u to return it).
3) To get price adjustment , you have to do it ON sale day (if this ever happens). Nov 30, ..goto Costco website, sign in and fill out the price adjustment form
https://customerservice.costco.co...com-orders

4) From what I was told by CSR, as long as the item gets on sale (regardless of stock), Costco will honor the price adjustment (as long as it's filled out while promo is active in their system).

5) The difference will simply get credited back to the original form of payment.

Hope this helps.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

According to a reply from this reddit post from last year, Cyber monday started at 12AM PST/3AM EST: https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/e4st4s/cyber_monday_start_time/. Unless this changed for this year, I would imagine it would be the same. If someone could confirm with a live representative, that would be great.

My gaming laptop has DP1.4 but my work laptop only has USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 w/ DP support (which I assume is DP1.2). If I connect this monitor to my work laptop, what will happen? 60hz? 100hz? No video image?

Yep, worked immediately when I plugged it in, make sure you're using a proper DP 1.4 cable (preferable VESA certified)

Yes, all freesync monitors work with G-Sync with a few customizations inside of NVIDIA control panel

For people that have price matched using the form online in the past...are you supposed to receive any kind of confirmation in email regarding your request once you have submitted the form?

I submitted one but it only showed a confirmation number on the website. I haven't seen any follow up emails or any way to go check status of the price adjustment on the website.
It's just reviewed by someone on Costco and they'll refund the credit back to original form of payment on your order.

I did this earlier this year for a Nighhawk router that went on sale 2 weeks after I bought it (online order) and I saw the difference pop back up on my credit card about 5 days after I had filed the price adjustment form.

However, in case nothing shows up in 7 days, I'd call Costco service service, give them the reference # and see wassup.

Nothing by email here...just the tracking number that I saved. Hoping that all goes well but sucks that there will be a few days before we know for sure. Mine is not delivered yet so do not plan to open until I know about the price adjustment.
For the many doing a price matching for your previous order:
I did the price match online too but for extra assurance, did the online chat and they did the 'credit within 24 hours' form. Once she did this I got an email immediately where they refunded the $100 difference and the associated tax for the $100.

For comparisons to the Lenovo or the gigabyte, this Acer is 144hz, HDR400, Quantum dot technology. And it is $50 less than the Lenovo.
No trying to contradict you. I am honestly asking the question.

The gigabyte website says HDR vesa display HDR400 . Is that the same?

https://www.gigabyte.com/Monitor/G34WQC/sp#sp

Could you please explain what the benefit of quantum dot is ?

For me, it seems like for 10 dollars more I get adjustable heigh and no quantum dot technology.

Thank you for your time.

Seems both are HDR400, but not the Lenovo. The Gigabyte and Acer are almost identical in specs.

I think in your case, the gigabyte is the one to get due to the stand. Yet, you get a better warranty and peace of mind with Costco and the Acer.

Here is some info on quantum dot tech:

https://insights.samsung.com/2020...he%20color.

You cannot go wrong with either choice.

I have an HP Omen 32", 16x9 flat. Has anyone made a move from a similar to a 34", 21x9 curved? I just have no frame of reference for such a transition and curious to hear other's experiences if available.

I honestly am not even sure what kind of tech upgrade this model of Acer is, but any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I switched from the HP Omen 32" (from a few Black Friday's ago) to this. I wanted the higher refresh for pc gaming but also, the ultra-widescreen is better for my productivity given that I can easily have 2 documents, browsers, apps etc side by side.

That's more or less what I want. Playing basically any game, the thing that drives me nuts is the lack of any sort of peripheral vision.

Thank you for the prompt response! I am getting the Best Buy replacement warranty just in case for 4 years. Do you think it is even worth it? The way I see it is : I am paying for an extra 2 years (based on Costco's 2 year warranty) so I can go swap it whenever I want if there are any defects (which I assume there might be) .

Also does anyone know if the Costco warranty will only work as long as you are a member (same membership number as purchased)? Sometimes I let the membership expire so I can get a better deal and not full price. I do not know how would that affect the warranty.

I never buy the extended warranty. I have gone thru tons of monitors with no issues. With Costco, you can get you money back at any time. Great if a newer or better monitor comes out. I dropped something on my monitor and cracked the screen, I had it for over a year and Costco gave me a refund for it. Love Costco customer service and satisfaction policy!

You do need to keep the same membership number it was purchased under, otherwise, they will not be able to find your purchase in the system if you need to return it.

I wrote a script that texted me when it was in stock (now). Not sure if slickdeals will let me post it here.

while 1=1; do stock=`curl -s 'https://www.costco.com/acer-34%22-class-qhd-freesync-curved-gaming-monitor.product.100695359.html' \
-H 'sec-ch-ua: "Chromium";v="86", ""Not\\A;Brand";v="99", "Google Chrome";v="86"' \
-H 'Referer: https://www.costco.com/acer-34%22...95359.html' \
-H 'DNT: 1' \
-H 'sec-ch-ua-mobile: ?0' \
-H 'User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/86.0.4240.198 Safari/537.36' \
--compressed | grep 'Add to Cart' | grep value`; \
[ ! -z $stock ] && curl -X POST https://textbelt.com/text \
--data-urlencode phone='<YOUR NUMBER HERE>' \
--data-urlencode message='in stock' \
-d key=textbelt || echo 'out of stock' ; sleep 60; done
Can you help me write a script for the 49 inch samsung g9? It keeps going in and out of stock.

I decided to do the chat thing as you mentioned and that worked. Received an email after chat ended with full details of the price adjustment, and feel confident no issues will be had now.

Thanks!
