The Pro 750 is the quietest Vitamix because of the newest, most powerful, but quietest motor (also used in the Ascent series) AND the metal body, that only the Ascent 3500 also has, but the Ascent is louder because it doesn't have the sound-dampening lid...You CAN buy the small individual serving containers for this, but the Ascent series are the only machines you can use the new food processor container with. But for the cost of the food processor container, you can get the top-rated Kitchenaid processor...
