If you don't care about the accessories and have a student email, you can get:
X-T200 Camera+Lens for $400 [adorama.com]
X-200 Camera only $350 [adorama.com]
That Olympus is a Micro 4/3 , and this is an APS-C camera: bigger sensor

M4/3 has a lot of lens options, but harder to get a good wide angle lens. Fuji lenses are top notch, and this 15-45 kit lens is a charmer. With effective 22.5 mm width at the low end, you get the approximate (wide) angle we see naturally. You shouldn't need to go much wider for normal shoots. For portraits, you may want to pick up a cheap 50mm 1.4 Brightin Star manual lens. It will help with some fundamentals to shoot a few photos on an all manual lens too.

There are extra features on the Olympus that make it a contender, but I find them outweighed by the limitations of the smaller sensor.

The X-T200 is slightly oriented towards video, and people crossing over from phone photography. But overall I am enjoying it. Will upgrade to an X-T4 someday I expect

Yeah good price, but 70-300mm is just down the line. Causing a dilemma for me. Would've jumped on this for sure if I didn't know 70-300mm is in the works.

Recently had a kid and looking for a camera that's better than what's on an iPhone. Not really interested in video, mostly just stills and family stuff.

The Wirecutter recommended the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III which is a 2017 model ($600ish on Amazon). How does this camera stack up?

Thank you in advance.

How is $499.95 the same price as $400?
