No. Kitchenaid 6 qts have AC motor. DC, you're looking for the pro 6500 and above models. (

Is this only for costco business or will regular costco website and stores have the same price as well?

Versus the popular deal(s) on the 5 qt model, what advantages does this unit have? Besides the obvious larger mixing bowl. Thanks.

DC motors are quieter.
I own a Professional 6 qt. The advantage over the 5 qt pro is the larger motor at 575W (6qt) vs 450W (5qt pro). You'll notice it in kneading dough. I can't comment on the 5qt pro since i don't have one but the 6qt pro hasn't overheated on me yet. It has gotten warm when kneading dough.

6qt has a larger motor. 575W
5qt pro deal has a 450W motor.

This matters when kneading bread dough.

I saw this in local costco for ~$330 the other day. I'm going to assume it can be purchased (if you're quick) for $240- $250 pre-tax.

I purchased the samsclub Pro 5 for $230 and am pretty happy with it using it for the first time today. Not sure i would do more than the double batch of banana bread in it.

5qt from sams has 525W motor and 3qt bowl and different accessories. Also comes in a lot more colors than the version from costco.

The Pro-line has a dc motor. Normally sold for $699.
Does the Pro also have a DC? If so, great. My purpose is also kneading dough.
Thanks very much.
