👍/👎?

Reviews seem mixed but mostly positive.

As a reference: the desktop in this link below was a good deal yesterday. That's a very good start to build something on top of that. I can't tell you what price this post's desktop should be as I'm not interested in a low end desktop, especially not at this price.

While that has a better cpu, you're limited by a low wattage psu and most likely a proprietary form factor. So it's not really a "very good start".

This is not much of a sale. The version with the GTX 1660 original price is $849.99 and goes on sale to $799.99 every few months. I was hoping that they have some real discount like $650 then I'll jump on it

If I remember correctly, you helped answer some of my other questions about building a desktop. Thank you for that. Regards to this specific desktop, would you say this is a good deal at this price?

Not bad, but I think a better deal is the Best Buy CyberPower one that was available last week and will be available again on Black Friday. That one is a Ryzen 5 3600/5600 XT/16 GB RAM combo for $750.

It's not a smoking hot deal, but for someone who needs a functioning mid range gaming pc now and can't be bothered to build one, the components are pretty well balanced and reasonably priced.

This is a good price for the 2060 version but definitely not the 1660.

There is going to be more frequent Intel CPU and inter desktop sale. Because of performance of new ryzen CPU. And 5600x was able to out perform Intel's best cups. Stores and companies knows there is going to be higher demand for AMD. They are trying to sell their Intel inventories before news spreads wider. Based on performance per $ (with AMD in mind) this is not a good deal. I would assume, based on the market, price will fall lower.

Before anyone accuses me of being a fanboy, I have never owned any AMD product, always had Intel CPU all my life.

AMD's mid range CPU = INTEL's high end CPU. Save you money

Well if you weren't a fanboy before, you are one now.

Ryzen 5000 is great. Does that make all other CPUs and computers useless? No. It's like saying because an Accord is faster than a Camry, the Camry is now worthless.

Prices have already been going down on Intel CPUs, which arguably make some of them an even better bang for buck, especially for gaming. Microcenter has the i7 9700k for $200, which would make it one of the best gaming/streaming CPUs at its price range, especially with a bit of overclock. The 5600X is $300, but it's not 50% more performance across the board. Hell, it has two fewer cores.

It is you who sounds like a fanboy. How can I be A fan when I am using Intel. My comment never said Intel is useless. What it did say is and is gives more power for much lower price. It means you save more money. It's common sense. When you earn your own money you will understand this concept, kid.
