Tips to help with laggy Android interface (from user dzap):
Quote :
You need to enable Developer Options first for the Developer Options menu to appear.

Settings --> Device Preferences --> About. Scroll to the bottom and Select Build and select it 10 times to enable Developer Options. You should see a toast prompt.

Go back one menu and developer options should be there now at bottom.

You can turn off or change the Window transition, transition animation and animator duration scale under the Drawing category.

Under Apps you can scroll down to the bottom and set Background process limit to "at most 4 processes".

I've had a TCL 5 series for a 6 months and I've been happy with it. But a lot of changes to expert picture settings were required to make it look nice. The roku interface is snappy and intuitive.

Wow, had a $40 target voucher, combined with the red card that was a hell of a deal. Guess I'll have to cancel the onn one from walmart I managed to get in on.

Just ordered one. I was going to pay over 1k for a TV for the new game systems but this should hold me over until I actually decide to buy one in a year or two.

that's crazy i almost bought this at target for $500 2 years ago. canceled it an spent more on a much better tv. but learned a valuable lesson. never use paypal on large purchases at target. you'll get stuck with store credit
Nice... I didn't realize that Target had a 2 yr TV pre-release date benefit over other retailers.Wink

This isn't a stripped down BF model like the Hisense so it's a pretty comfortable bet that this is a better TV.

I'm in the same boat, having bought that Hisense from BB. It's probably best to return that one as it's the same in most areas but this one comes out to be cheaper, is made by a more reputable brand, and has reviews up saying what to expect out of this (rtings).

However, I didn't have to worry about how to stuff a 65 incher in my compact sedan with BB. Maybe that hassle is worth the difference.

I got 55" TCL and start getting line in the center with fluctuation of screen after about 2 years. I was about to throw it and then I thought of setting the screen quality to dark or normal. This helped with the fluctuation and line is still there but pretty unnoticeable. I have recently bought Onn 55" and the screen quality is same as TCL. Actually seems no difference, even remote is same due to TCL based OS. It is working fine but it is less than a year.
