If you want truely easy DIY replacement, get the same brand you have. Not only is the mount different, but the plumbing will probably need to be reconfigured, and I hate plumbing. I found a bigger version of my broken builder GE model on amz, and had it replaced in no time. It probably wont last 20 years, but last time I did a brand switch in a previous house, I was always dealing with plumbing issues. YMMV...
I have replaced 2 ISE with Waste King (1 hp) and recommend the WK mount over the ISE.

Much quieter disposal.

2 peeves:
1. Waste King used to be limited lifetime warranty, but WK bought by Moen and that's no longer there. I believe the 1 hp I purchased are now "20 year warranty"
2. The WK plastic casing (for sound insulation) interferes with the pipe mount--you have to angle it in and then bolt it down.

The WK is larger, heavier, but I do recommend.

Make sure you take pic(s) of your piping so you can remember how to reinstall it.

Does anyone know if this unit will hook up to the ISE sink connector. Did not feel confident enough to replace the sink seal connector.
Any advise greatly appreciated

Pull it and return it. Lowes takes back almost anything.

Great unit in a one horse. Expect these to be good also. "Lifetime warranty" on the one horse.

I just installed one. It does not fit ISE, but the Waste King installation is very easy. Read through the instructions, and then watch a few youtube videos if you still have questions. As a DIY project, I would classify it as easy. The most difficult part of the project would be making sure your waste and P-trap connections remain solid. I hope this helps.

Why this over the equivalent insinkerator?

I have a old 1/3 hp use badger that I would like to replace easily. Hoping for something small but stronger.

This is the first waste king deal I've seen in a while. Was planning to get the 1 hp version but if that one isn't going to go on sale then. Could potentially do this one instead
