So like the 1920x1200 24" 1080p ultrasharps from 8 years ago are basically still better than this. Why does this even exist for more money?

Edit.... just re read the title. This is for TWO MONITORS. Eh

Still seen better deals than this

Can anyone confirm firmware version and revision number from this? I got one manufactured in June 2020, Rev 08 and firmware ending 105. I have another one bought directly from Dell (Sep 2020, Rev 09, ending 106) and their color is different. So I am wondering if I need to return or replace this one from Staples.
The U2419HX I received from Staples also had the 105 firmware, The color is washed out when compared to my U2417H and U2414H when all set at the same brightness/contrast/color settings. On the HX, whites and blacks are all greyer than the other two. Colors are just not as vibrant in general. I'm returning it tomorrow.

Thank you for finding it out for me. Were you able to see REV version? It is on the box and there is a manufactured date as well.

I am getting a replacement from Staples today but if it is the same as my current HX, I will return it and I will pull a trigger from Dell. I got a U2419H from Dell earlier this week and noticing that the color isn't good as U2419H. I was quite disappointed.

Make sure you get a docking station for dual display or buy displayport cables to enable MST (Daisy Chain) to avoid buying a docking station. But it only works for Windows.

I got two from Dell and Staples. U2419H (with HDMI) from DELL came with firmware ending 106 while staples U2419HX came with 105. And a monitor from DELL is Rev 09 while Staples is REV 08. Color seems different to me and sure in the calibration report says they are different.
I have XPS 13 which only has USB C port. Can I setup daisy chain with it or I need to buy connector ?

I'd check spec for your laptop and see anywhere saying DisplayPort 1.2 or higher. That means your USB-C probably have ThunderBolt 3 and DP as well. You probably still need to buy USB-C to DP and DP to DP since HX comes with only has HDMI cable.

Same as you, manufactured June 2020 with Rev A08.

I'm encountering the same thing. The colours just aren't as good as my U2417H. The blacks are not as black, and I'm getting these weird vertical lines when solid colours are in motion. I don't want to waste the time trying to fix it, so I'm just going to return it tomorrow.

So, I got replacement. All I can say, don't buy from Staples. It is REV 08, manufactured 6/2020, Firmware ending 105. It shipped from WI. It is worse than the original one I received. I am returning both.

If you really want, buy it from Dell even though you will have to pay 219.99 but they will give you $100 Dell eGiftCard. I already ordered one from Dell because I like my U2419H.

New coupons not working

EDIT: looks like only one $20 coupon is working, making the deal $300... Wish I caught this a day earlier, I realized these support displayport MST for daisy chaining (wife's laptop has a single mini dp port and currently using a lousy USB to HDMI for a second monitor). These look perfect for her... still seems like a "warm" deal right now at $300, thinking about pulling the trigger and can return them if a better deal pops up in the next few weeks.

I don't know if this will help anyone but I saw this comment in the Office Depot deal thread from last year regarding how to fix poor performance for this model monitor. I'm just pasting it here since I don't know how to quote from another thread:

"I ran into similar problem when I set up my monitor. I measured contrast ratio, it came out as 136:1 instead of 1000:1. Then I read that some computer graphic adapters consider HDMI monitor as TV and send limited range RGB signal 16-235 instead of full range 0-255. That means, you will get very poor contrast ratio. White will be light gray even if you set brightness at 100%, black will be dark grey even at 0% brightness. Solution is simple - configure the graphic adapter to send full range signal, instead of default/limited. I did that, contrast ratio increased to 1000:1 and I had to set brightness at 38%."

Okay, so pablo's opening statement is accurate (Mac doesn't support MST), though what they go on to say about Dell docks isn't quite right. I was just trying to set the record straight on your "this is false" statement so folks trying to learn from this thread don't get confused. 👍 No harm, no foul.
My entire comment is accurate. MacOS doesn't support MST, if you output video via USB-C/Thunderbolt to multiple displays they will mirror the desktop.

That doesn't mean it's impossible to extend the MacOS desktop with a dock. You just can't do it with MST. You have to use multiple connections.

This is the part I was saying is inaccurate:

Dell docks, even with DisplayLink will not output extended desktop to dual monitors.
Or perhaps I should say it was ambiguously stated. As you said, it is possible to extend Mac desktops with Dell docks, you just have to use multiple connections. And I agree that it is really annoying.

I need more info and detailed instructions how to set my laptop send full range. And I am wondering why U2419H from dell doesn't have a problem instead U2419HX from staples has. Only difference between two of them is one came with HDMI (HX) and the other came with DP (H).

EDIT: I found more info myself. If you use Intel Graphics, go to Intel Graphics Command Center (download from Microsoft Store) and go to Display and General, then select "Full" fr Quantization Range settings. I don't see this option...
