When is the new one going to come out? This is already 3 years old. I'm holding out still, but really want to stream atmos and it's either this or try and buy the new XBox series X

Yeah I'm hoping some Black Friday deal hits for this too. I'm looking to get one for my house so I can integrate all my iot devices and cameras into HomeKit. Also I bought some exercise equipment like rowing machine, elliptical and indoor cycle that I'm wanting to sign up with Apple one and start using Apple fitness on Apple TV on my little gym tv. I'm probably not going to buy one til they release apple fitness but if one comes by at a slick deal, I'll get it.

I am very annoyed that apple updated everything this year, with exception of the apple tv. I was ready to dive all into the apple ecosystem (phone, watch, tv) for the apple one platform. I cant justify $150+ for 3 year old hardware when a new more powerful version (and one rumored to be more gaming oriented) coming out in the near future

I have two Apple TVs, one 4K and also the most recent non-4K model. Both have performed excellent. The non-4k one mainly serves to run Zwift in the home gym. The 4K unit is the living room workhorse. We have totally stopped using unreliable Chromecast since we got the Apple TVs.
