It's garbage firmware. Errors, corruption, poorly documented settings, you name it. It's absolutely insane to pay over $35 for this. But you know how Slickdealers love their garbage gadgets.
Oh right, thank. Now I recall that some are actually using 2 solo units independent of each other.

You can't. The dual is all one proprietary system using a special USB cable that delivers power to the rear camera and receives video from it; everything is time-coded and GPS appended in the front camera. You cannot add existing cameras to it.
Off topic, has anyone tried to plug in the camera to a power bank and at the same time charge the powerbank when the car is running?
yes i do it. not this cam but gamin mini. sometimes i forget to unplug from the battery. when i need it to record while car is parked, battery is drained so it's the only downside. i don't want to hardwire because nothing is permanent for me.

How long will it last? A day if you use a 10000mah bank?
Thanks, I was trying to find that. There are a lot of redflags so far making me pass on this deal. Website is down, the site is leaking user data, and this return policy. Wish they had this deal through amazon too.

What would you recommend instead of this one?
Viofo is highly recommended by several sites, I think that is why the website is getting hammered and slickdeal is on top of this.

Definitely. Saving.a few bucks on this is a huge risk.

It's "recommended" by blog spam sites that want your affiliate purchase. There's nothing good about Viofo at all. It's probably the cheapest generic Chinese dashcam junk you can buy.
Yi and Anker will have much better firmware support.
If you think that Viofo's own website providing OTHER CUSTOMERS DATA and crashing doesn't forecast software quality issues, then go buy it.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the two Viofo dash cams I have owned. The A119 V2 and A129 Pro 4K Duo I replaced it with have worked great.

They are selling the A129 Pro 4k Duo for $250 not $200 like viofo.com. Otherwise I would go definitely with Adorama.
