I'd definitely take the HD10 over this with the Fire Toolbox mods you can use to clear the Amazon stuff out. HD10 is a very good value when it's on sale for $80. The screen is much better than what you would expect on a low end tablet.
Got this specifically for use as a Google home hub with the added bonus of removable screen. Like in my garage, I'll grab it to watch you tube videos for vehicle maintenance. In the kitchen, my wife can grab it to use for a recipe and set a timer to take to a different room since the timers don't sync across a home.
how fast vs the fire hd 10?

Not a bad price but if you aren't opposed to the Amazon launcher/ecosystem, those tablets can often be found at very comparable prices (especially if trading in an older device). Looking at reviews and benchmarks, the Amazon tablets may beat out this Lenovo and will probably perform better in the long run. Amazon tablets can also fairly easily be converted to a stock Android experience (look into step by step directions via XDA).
For those that care, keep in mind that this is a 720p tablet but at 8" it will still look pretty good as a basic streamer.

Either way you go, I think you will get a pretty good experience for the price. I'm still in for one because I've been curious to play with one of these for a while. Great post, OP. Repped

If you don't mind using Fire Tools, the Fire Tablet HD 8 has been in this same price ballpark in the past (as recent as a week ago).
I'd bet on Amazon beating Lenovo to an Android 10 update, but you can also install LineageOS on the Fire tab and have Android 10 now.
