This is a good deal with the big batt AND the yellow fast charger...AND a free tool... But alas as of this morning, says out of stock. 59634 zip

As for the military discount. It is a good one BUT it does not work on sale items UNLESS they are structured a certain way. IF it is a sale price, no discount. IF an item is "regular" priced with a "free gift" or add on then it discount is good. So, you gotta look carefully on how a deal is structured. The Vet discount is NOT good on sale items. It used to be but not anymore... But Lowes structures their deals all the time so something might be "regular" priced (discount good) with something extra like batts. Then the discount is good.
Thanks for the description of how that works! I was going to try and order some tools later this week.

I only need the battery. Is there a good place to sell un-needed tool (other than craiglist)?

If you do not add the combo kit to your cart, only go to gift, than tap the one you want and add only that to your cart.... it showd the kit plus the correct tool, if you try to add combo kit than free tool, the router gets added for some reason and you cant remove it Smilie) hope this helps

Good deal for the price, but if you cut wood for a living you need the 60v FlexVolt saw which will take the XR to school

It's not the same saw and I don't need any of the other pieces that Home Depot is giving with it. I needed a circular saw and a reciprocating saw. This same saw with a 5 Ah battery at Home Depot its $300.

20-Volt MAX XR Li-Ion Brushless Cordless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw with Brake (Tool-Only) with 20-Volt Li-Ion Battery 5 Ah

Those tools in that 5 piece set from HD are not nearly as good. The circular saw for example is a brushed version and 6 1/2.

This Lowes deal is has brushless tools that retail for $179-200. The included tools in that HD package are like $75-$100

And even among professionals, they more often than not go with the worm drive version. That is almost never knocked down in price...

Was able to use the honey coupon to get the circular saw and a jigsaw. Pretty much completes my collection other than a sander.

And getting rid of an extra 20V Max recip saw. If only I could find someone to trade.
Trying to get the same exact combo, but wasn't able to apply code...=(

Offerup i have already my self bought a few of these but kept the 8ah and sold used 6ah batteries and profited about 20 to 40 dollars each time. The key is to break everything up individually including the charger for max profit. Cant beat money in my pocket plus new fresh higher capacity battery

Finally opened mine up today and there was a 6ah Flexvolt battery instead of an 8ah. Wonder if someone switched them out and returned?

Which do you think is a better battery? I do have a flex volt Recip saw and 1 6ah flexvolt battery. Not sure if it is worth the hassle of trying to get them to trade it out.

Is dewalt the Top of the line name for Circular saw and angle grinder?
One of them. I personally go with DeWalt because they're usually at top or near the top for any given tool but also they are still 100% owned by Americans unlike other brands that were American that're now owned by Chinese holding groups.

I'd prefer going for the hammer drill or recip saw: https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-X...1002097694 [lowes.com]
I went with the hammer drill option with 8ah battery + hand planer (I need for a current project so perfect timing)

I sold mine on Facebook and had no issues. I just have the charger left, but I should end up with a free planer when it sells. Next I will try again to get a free light, but I already have the rest of the tools so I will stop there.

If you are signed up and verified, online orders have included Veteran discount automatically for ALL sales for us... In store, you are out of luck on all sale items unless a manager will override. What I do, if it is worth it, is use their computer (one by the paint department up front), sign in, order online and in about 5 minutes, the order will be at the customer service desk to be pulled for store pickup items I just happen to have already pulled in my cart. I bought this deal with the reciprocating saw a couple weeks ago and I also bought (several) the 356 oscillating saw stand alone deal online with the same discount. Attached are images as proof.... so not sure what is happening with you.

Meanwhile, this deal is out of stock....
