I picked this up two weeks ago. Sounds very decent for the price. Do not expect a very loud or super hi def sound. If you listening distance is less than 9ft, this should suffice. The sub is not very powerful and you will notice the lack of bass, you would have to turn up the sub all the way to get a decent performance. Dialogues and Foley sounds are pretty crisp and clear. Music is where it lacks. If you are used to a true 5.1 this will definitely disappoint you but for $130 the performance is good.

It has been this price since it was listed on BB. I have this,it's good for the $129 price. Might want to check the Costco book for a Vizio deal.

It's a bad idea to turn volume to full as distortion is high at 100% amp output, especially for budget systems.

People are focusing too much on wattage. 290 watts is just a peak figure, not RMS, and doesn't mean that much positively or negatively. \

Having said that, I bought this a couple of weeks ago open box for $96 for a bedroom TV that I don't use much. It's definitely an upgrade over TV speakers, and I'd recommend it for anyone who is looking for a simple easy upgrade that at least has some bass.

I recently bought the Bose Solo 5 soundbar for 99$ refurbished. Is this a better one? is it worth to upgrade??

The RMS for this is 40W (20W for bar and 20w for subwoofer). Peak power is about 80W. the 290W rating is a marketing scam. I hope Samsung gets sued for making such scam claims.

I think this does music better than movies. I play Spotify and Netflix from the same TV, and music just sounds more powerful. Have the soundbar for over a month.
