Used hundreds of HDD's for servers but Samsung always came on top for most consistent and reliable
Agreed - Samsung is top of the heap for SSD's, no one really matches them in all around performance and I've got a number of them from 830's and up...all running strong as primary drives... those $50 500GB 860 deals were great..... (BB had 'refurbished' ones, but they were essentially new)....

Do you think I can get a price match if I bought this 2 weeks ago? Who do I call? Credit card or Amazon? Any input will be appreciated

Yes it does. PS4 just uses a regular 2.5 drive. I got the Newegg 1TB SSD deal from last week and waiting for it to arrive to install in my PS4 as well.
how will you copy everything from one drive to the other?

Do a quick google on how to upgrade your ps4 to ssd. Basically, take a backup of your saves, etc via usb dongle (if you don't have ps+). Open the ps4 and replace drives. Download latest software in another usb dongle. Install software. Restore backup.

Just bought this from OfficeDepot/ OfficeMax. https://www.officedepot.com/a/pro...E1T0BAM-1/

Same price but I was able to burn my rewards certificates i had with them.

I tried about 20 different coupon codes but they're all unusable because the hard drive is excluded as "technology".

They also have the 500GB drive for 54.99.

Pretty sure Amazon won't do it. I just bought this a few days ago at 119. I ordered another now and am just going to return this unopened one as the one I purchased at 119.

$250 for the 2TB sounds interesting too if you're limited to SATA and cannot or do not want to NVME...

Quote from dovageris :
I went ahead and bought the Newegg SSD deal last week for my OG PS4. I figured it's a cheap upgrade and I need extra space anyways for games so I don't have to uninstall them when I get a new game. Also would be nice to see some better performance from the SSD and better thermals vs the original 500GB HDD. Bottomline, there are still going to be great games coming up for PS4 and I don't have a compelling reason to go to a PS5 just yet.
Yeah it is sort of tempting... but I upgraded my PS4 to a 2tb hdd a long time ago, to go "down" to a 1tb means moving a TON of games to my external USB drive, and all the copying etc etc.... and then in 6 months or whatever when I go PS5, not like I'm going to get this $100 back if I sell it / trade it in.
