I have ordered the same (grey/black) product from the same website two weeks ago for $65, free shipping. I used those for Running, Badminton and Cricket. I am very happy with the shoes. Very comfortable and I like the cushioning support from the bottom.
How do ASICS compare to New Balance when it comes to feel and sizing?
I tend to wear an 11.5 in NB, but they also tend to have wider fronts, which is good for me. Do Asics size similarly?
I have wider feet than average but by no means super wide.
I also require a stability shoe and after finding the asic gt-1000 I was able to increase my mileage and now run 60-100 miles per month.
I have moved from the 1000s to the 2000s and have even tried a few of the 4000s (amazon generally has them very cheap).
They wear quickly 200-300 miles maximum per lair so I'm replacing 3-4 times per year because of the very soft forefoot rubber used versus the harder rear rubber.
These are great for a semi wide foot but honestly I no longer go strictly by brand and have found that just like vehicles, each "model" of a brand differs. Puma generally run narrower I've found but all others (brooks gtr20 etc) have all fit me fine when choosing the same type of running shoe.
edit: I went for it since I didn't want to wait for Pegasus 36 price to drop.
Hopefully you aren't running in them.
The pegasus 36 is neutral cushioning...and runners that curve their feet outward...the asic gt are stability shoes and runners that roll their feet inwards.
They are not direct model competitors. I have to look but I believe the Nike structure (22) and mizuno wave inspire, brooks adrenaline gts 20 etc are the direct competitors
