I think there's a bunch of confusion going on:

- The APPLE gift card ($100) can be used to buy apps, iTunes stuff (music and movies), AND is good at the APPLE store (even for physical goods), but again, that's at the APPLE STORE. Keep in mind everything they sell there, except for some holiday and back to school bonuses, are all RETAIL, REGULAR price.

- The BestBuy gift card (the $20) can be used to buy most anything (except other gift cards, I think?) that BestBuy sells, including Apple stuff. But you'd better have a good use for that $100 above first! Smilie

Should also be noted that once you load these gift cards to your account you can't buy physical items in store. You have to use the Apple Store app or website to do in store pick up.

2000$ is the maximum you can have loaded to your Apple ID at a time. I've bought more than that and would use, redeem, and reload to make it work.

I love how every one of these similar deals turns into a discount battle. It's math, it can be manipulated in a number of ways to prove the other person is wrong. These discounts come down to whole numbers, not percentages. You're getting $20 for free. If you value that on whole dollars, then it's $20. If you value it at a bit less due to lack of getting credit card rewards missed or upfront discounts missed since you're not using a store card, then value it at that small discount.

I use apple gift cards to pay for Netflix. Not sure that is allowed any more so it keeps me from ever canceling.

Right. If we had the magical crystal ball the vets play would have been stocking up back then if we knew they'd convert to hardware. I resisted then because I don't use a lot of Apple software services. Stocking up for the hardware back then would have been great.

FYI. For people whose plans to buy the Apple card, make sure you choose physical card (hopefully will be eligible for $20.00 BB card) and have them ship to you cause AMEX offer not valid for e-gift card. This is from Amex " Not valid for e-gift card purchases. Excludes corporate gift card purchases."

this is for best buy e-gift cards, since they are sold by cashstar. you can buy 3rd party e-gfit cards and be fine.

when they had the $200 apple gift card deal with a $20 BB gift card, it was limited to one per account. they even canceled the orders i tried making from my wifes account. dont know why they were being so weird about it.
