Bluetooth Receiver

3,130 70 November 16, 2020 at 05:14 PM
I'm wanting to connect a Bluetooth device to an older receiver. The goal is just to play Spotify, Pandora, etc. over my home sound system. Any advice on what to get?

not sure of your questions you are asking for a receiver but your question seem to be for a transmitter.

what has Spotify to broadcast and what inputs are available to where you want to play Spotify?

What Bluetooth device do you have?

Here's a roundup of a few of them. A few years ago I used a Scosche unit. Worked great and it was cheap as hell but the model is probably 10 years old now.

It all depends on how far you need to send the signal.

I have an old Miccus branded (no clue who they are, just looked at the label) to do exactly what you are talking about. When paired with my phone, it works almost anywhere in the house and isn't bothered by walls. I think it was around $50.

I have one for my truck that cost $12 (it was my way around buying a new head unit equipped with bluetooth.) I am lucky if it works when I contort around to pull out my wallet.

Echo smart speaker and a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Echos work great to stream music to old home stereo systems. The 1st gen Echo Dots can be found on Craigslist for about $10.00.
