B550 ATX board. Lowest seen at this point. Also eligible for Black friday protection.

MSI Edge wifi was $10 cheaper, but this one has more USB ports at back. Only has 1 USB type C compared to MSI Wifi Edge (it has 2 ). Newegg also mentions BIOS already updated for Zen 3 support

Same price:

Amazon

B&H

Thinking about this for a server build because of the 2.5gb and 3rd PCI-E 16x slots... but not sure if this will boot w/o a GPU/APU chip. Anyone know?

This is a nice board and If this had an internal USB C connector I would be in on one, but sadly Gigabyte doesn't even include one on their top of the B550 line 'master' either. I am finding that only a few ATX B550 boards give you both internal USB C AND built-in wifi.

Also am looking for a MOBO for an Unraid server build. Still looking at B550 boards, but I may have to go x570 if not all boxes are ticked for my use. This is my first server build and wondering what else I should be looking for in the motherboard besides PCIe lane splitting

Bought for this price before from Amazon so not sure why this is FP, sat on that price for a while too.

For the server board route it will boot without a GPU as that is how I currently use mine however you should note that this is a Realtek 2.5GBe adapter so it is not natively supported in most hypervisors I've tested. (Didn't matter much to me because I was using 10GB SFP+ cards but made it confusing why I couldn't navigate initially for setup).

The board also supports 2 NVMe drives but with one installed the center x16 slot is disabled, had a hard time finding out anything in the user manual when I was last fiddling with it.

I just finished a build a few days ago with the B550 Aorus Pro (non-WIFI) and Ryzen 5 5600x. Running latest BIOS and I haven't experienced any USB issues so far. I was a bit concerned reading about those issues but I purchased the board two months ago and didn't want to try to deal with the hassle of returning without being able to actually test it. Been running awesome so far!

I do miss not having an internal USB-C header, since now I can't take advantage of the front USB-C port on my case.

For server people, heads up, it's not x8/x8 if you were planning to use the entire bandwith at the same time:

1‎ x PCI Express x16 slot (PCIEX16), integrated in the CPU:
3rd Generation AMD Ryzen™ processors support PCIe 4.0 x16 mode
3rd Generation AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics processors support PCIe 3.0 x16 mode

1 x PCI Express x16 slot (PCIEX4), integrated in the Chipset:
Supporting PCIe 3.0 x4 mode
* The M2B_SB connector shares bandwidth with the PCIEX4 slot. The PCIEX4 slot will become unavailable when an SSD is installed in the M2B_SB connectors.

1 x PCI Express x16 slot (PCIEX2), integrated in the Chipset:
Supporting PCIe 3.0 x2 mode
* The PCIEX2 slot shares bandwidth with the SATA3 4, 5 connectors. The PCIEX2 slot will become unavailable when a device is installed in the SATA3 4 or SATA3 5 connector.

2 x PCI Express x1 slots

I would absolutely wait for the new version with the USB-C headers. When I purchased mine I didn't hear about the v2 yet, else I probably would have waited. Though at the time the case I was planning on using didn't have a front USB-C header, which is why I didn't go with another brand board that had the USB-C header.

No USB issues but if using for a server build apparently all B450 and B550 boards have an issue with IOMMU groups. Onboard SATA ports were tied to the second and third x16 slots for me when I was trying to pass through an HBA.

yes if you the 2nd m2, you lose the 2nd pci, and the3rd if using the 5&6 sata.

i only plan to use 1 m2, should be fine, don't really need the 2nd either. lol

appreciate the info so far, what ram did you use?
