I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where speakers and amplifiers will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

No they are not. They require speaker wire connection.

I have these, they're great speakers. But don't buy them if you have vaulted ceilings.

Only heard a one set of klipsch speakers and they seemed way overly bright. very fatiguing to listen to.
As I admit my experience with them is lacking, is this normal for the brand or was that maybe just a one off experience with them?

I was referring to people judging speakers by their color

Klipsch speakers almost always have a horn loaded tweeter which gives them a pronounced high end. Their lower end speakers can be out of balance any overly bright, but the better speakers(like the reference premier line here) are phenomenal. One major advantage they have is they are usually ridiculously efficient, so they take less power to drive them.
