Edit: Additionally, these three coupons work until November 23rd for just laptops (not any other additional accessories) at various cutoffs for laptops. EXTRA150 for laptops over 1499 to get $150 off. EXTRA100 for laptops over 999 to get $100 off. EXTRA 50 for laptops over 499 to get $50 off. These codes will do worse than the deal described below for if you have other items in the cart or if you have a laptop at a price other than exactly 1499, 999, or 499, but the savings will be ALMOST the same.

ORIGINAL DEAL:

Go to Dell's coupon page

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...pons-codes

About 2/3 down the page in the "Savings Made Simple" section, there's a small paragraph saying

"Never miss a great deal - plus, get a 10% coupon to save on PCs and Dell electronics.
Sign up for Dell emails to stay in the know about the latest products and hottest deals on Dell.com. New subscribers receive a coupon for 10% off select PCs and Dell electronics."

Sign up and wait a few hours for the code to show up in your email. Check Spam too. Code works for other configs as well, and I suspect it will work for other models of Dells. It looks to only work for laptops on the dell member page (dell is weird, they have 3 separate pages for home, work, and member. You can tell based on the /member/ in the url posted below for the configuration). With a Dell member account (sign up free with a valid email), you also get a 3% discount that will stack with the 10% coupon bringing the subtotal down to 1322.99 with the config described. I'm not sure if this stacks with their 10% military discount. This does stack with the 5% financing discount code DPA5 which will take 5% off if you use Dell financing which is 0% if paid off in 12 months and gives 6% back in rewards.

I was looking at this one and the normal clam shell. However, for $1300 from best buy I ended up getting the razer blade stealth after only buying 8 XPS's in a row. The lack of ports really was an issue for me, the Xe graphics looked like a good thing and getting a small computer with a touch screen, which I never had before. I was getting a 15% veterans day discount on these laptops with member pricing. I cant see myself using a 360 hinge, and the clam shell, although amazing, you are paying a premium right now for the new tech and the stealth has much better cooling, especially after all my XPS's running hot and my last one frying itself from heat after less than 4 years.

How is the dell customer service now? My last dell laptop was 10 years ago.

That's what I read on reviews too. The XPS fans are ON all the time for no reason. Even when you are doing nothing, the fans blow. Looks like their hardware does not jive well

It appears the 10% discount is a one-time coupon code for signing up? I'd signed up before and I can't find a way to get another coupon code.

I own a XPS 15 9560 from 3 years ago. Dell has too much bloatware pre-installed. Need to remove them first and install the undervolt software. Fan rarely runs afterward. I heard the same story from friends for newer XPS models too.

Doesn't it really comes down to whether you prefer Windows or Mac OS! I tried the Mac OS for like 3 years and could never adjust.

I used the 15% vet coupon to get the non-touch XPS-13. I went i5 and I'm thinking between that and the lower res matte screen, I'll get a nice long battery life and good outdoor usability compared to the current 2017 model with the i7 and glossy high res screen.

I only seem to notice the fans while watching video, but I also don't play games or do much processor intensive work.

My xps 13 2 in 1 had its battery die literally 5 days before warranty expired. Really disappointing. However, RMA was super easy. Chatted with Dell, told them the error codes, and within 15 mins I was set up for an in person repair.
