I followed the hype and was a bit disappointed when I finally saw it. Didn't grow a connection to the characters as I had hoped. So don't come in with too high expectations. Movie was worth a watch though.

I just purchased it and can confirm it has english subtitles (even though the description doesn't say so).

Is this the better version to get if you don't have "issues" reading subtitles?

I cannot exaggerate how amazing this movie is. I got this for my daughter, who loves anime, and we watched it together. I do enjoy some anime, but not as much as most fans. By the end, however, my daughter and I were so into the movie that we cheered and cried. It was THAT great. I'd give a maximum rating on any rating scale out there.
