Better way to accurately control the heat temperature while using energy efficient space heaters.

I see a coupon on the aquarium one. Been looking at the page for a little while, but I can't tell - will the aquarium one work fine for use NOT in an aquarium? (I want to use this to automate turning on a space heater in a bedroom.)

i have this and it works good. You just plug it in and set the heating and cooling parameters. Make sure the temperature sensor is exactly where you want it, its pretty sensitive.

One outlet is for heat and the other is for cooling. i brew kombucha and i use this to maintain a narrow temperature range, it will turn on a small pad heater if the brew gets too cold, and turn on a fan if it gets too warm, obviously a fan can't cool it down if ambient temps get too hot so i also got a mechanical air conditioner but haven't had a chance to test that out yet. People also use these to convert chest freezers to use as a refrigerators.

They also have 20% off the wifi version which I really like for my aquarium. I can get alerts on my phone if it's getting too cold or hot and I'm not at home.

Be careful.... look at the rating on your space heater. This model appears to be rated at 10amp/1200 watt total and most space heaters start at 1500 watt.... You may have to jump up to the ITC-608T model [amazon.com] that is rated at 15amps,

I used something like this with an old crock pot and a giant roaster pan that had dials (not digital) for a super cheap sous vide setup. Not as accurate but worked well.

If you're a homebrewer or home wine maker, this would be beneficial for your fermentation chamber. I used to use something like this in an old fridge for fermenting beer.

I bought this to keep stuff from freezing in my garage like paint, or caulk, cement repair etc... or maye even a cheap pressure washer that is hard to winterize. Hook it up to something like a incandescent light bulb, small space heater, or a Gun safe heater rod like this:
https://www.amazon.com/GoldenRod-...B07W8JFN2F

A light bulb by its self puts out a surprising amount of heat. Just be careful not to put flammables in with this.

I've seen these used with a terrarium heating pad to build a homemade proofing box out of a cooler for baking bread. Tempting.
