Burgers, steaks, chicken will dry out on a grill. Juices drip thru the grates.
Flat tops sear in the juices.
Sealing juices has been debunked many times fyi.

Is this a newer model https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blacks.../578992934 [walmart.com] This seems like a better deal with grease tray in back and magnets along with hard cover included which isn't cheap
TS shows model 1554 which has rear grease drain according to Blackstone site. Maybe they have old picture up. I bought the soft cover and NG conversion kit separately and not really interested in the magnet strip.

Looks like the old model that drains to the front. As someone who's used both you want the one that drains to the back

I really wanted a Camp Chef. I like the ignition system, grease management(compared to the old Blackstone) and wind management a little better but this is such a good price I might have to grab one.

I'm debating between the Adventure Ready 28 from Walmart https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blacks...thena=true

or the regular 28 on amazon

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...0DER&psc=1

Any thoughts?
Ace Hardware has the regular 28" with the stainless front for $199. Also comes with a free cover and a griddle tool kit.

I've got a small patio space - would this completely replace a traditional gas grill? If I had to choose, Pros/cons of griddle vs. grill?

I own a Weber gas grill and I put grillgrates on it. These are reversible so you can use the flat-top side or the side with ridges like a more traditional grill.

I only mention that because I have found the flat-top side to be superior for basically everything.

The next time I buy something, it'll be griddle style cook top like the blackstone.

I dont know if this griddle would replace a gas grill. It all depends on what you want to do. I got rid of my charcoal and propane grills for a pellet smoker, then added one of these:

So between these two systems, I have a smoker, a grill, and a griddle. The grill and griddle arent huge, but they work for me. I can also get another grill box and/or griddle if I feel I need it, but that is the nice thing with these - they are versatile.

NG conversion kit: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blacks.../215505482

I got the cover from Dick's with some other gifts when they had $20 off $100, but should've got it from WM also: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blacks...n/38445805

I have the one from walmart. The big thing is the grease trap is in back. The front grease trap can lead to grease splashes which are no fun.
