When you factor in the bench, https://smile.amazon.com/Fitness-...1CR4XFIK/, it matches yesterdays deal of cage-only at $239

Having trouble figuring out if I could fit this in my basement & feel like the only way to find out for real is to buy it .I think I could if the pullup bar doesnt have to be attached and fit it between joists

Why not measure?

Mark the dimensions out and mime your workouts. This doesn't have free returns, so I would be careful about just ordering it and winging it, unless you have an alternate location if it doesn't fit in the basement.

Have this cage/bench setup and it's fantastic for a home gym, especially for the price. You have to be lifting some serious weight for this to be outclassed. I agree the bench is minimal and if you get the cage for $239 you can find a much better bench for ~$100. That said it isn't unsafe or anything, just small and wobbly - I bench 225 lbs using the setup with no issues.

I got this set a couple of weeks ago and really love it. Very sturdy rack and bench at this price. You can also purchase pull-down attachment later for upgrade. The only thing I don't like is bench's incline angle..It doesn't have the perfect angle for incline bench press, either too low or too high...I have to cut a wood stud and it increases angle a little bit.

I had the same challenge, it has to be attached as it holds the joists...solved it be attaching the pullup bar inversed(upside down). Hope it works for you as well

ordered this last week, never got the bench. If you read reviews seems like common thing. Punks. I just got 120 dollars back from amazon. But got no bench beware.

From amazon:
Quote :
Dimensions: The rack has a 46 inch wide and 50 inch deep foot print. The top of the pull up bar is 83 3/4 inch off the floor. The sides are 78 3/4 inch. The working area is 42 inch wide between posts and 24 inch deep between posts. The posts have 19 one inch holes that start 13 1/8 inch OC off the floor and are 3 inch OC apart. Every third hole has a small U shaped notch to make it easier to identify the same level between posts.
There are 2 solid steel safety pins 1 inch in diameter which are 32 1/4 inches long thereby providing the 24 inch length between posts and 3 1/4 inch bar catch on the outside of the rack.. The safety pins weigh 7.5 lbs each. There are 2 safety hooks that are 6 3/8 inches long including the 3 1/4 inch bar catch and weigh 1.0 lb each. The safety pins and hooks are polished chrome and look very nice.
The assembled rack is listed at 137 lbs; however, I was not able to measure this myself.

While that does suck, on the bright side you can now buy a better bench with the $120

Similar for me, do you know max height with pull up upside down? Is it 79? Otherwise I may need to look for shorter

Pull-up bar needs to be attached but it can be flipped downward. This leaves about 5'11" between the bar and the ground. Measures your height with your shoes on.
