For people looking for magsafe compatible wireless charger, HaloLock 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger for iPhone 12 (Supports MagSafe) for $29.99 seems good on paper.

manufacture link: https://www.esrgear.com/products/...iphone-12/

selling for $29.99 at Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HNBKYMG

I stumbled upon this while searching for a wireless charger, ordered it but haven't received it yet so cannot tell if it actually works.

Lol! And the benefit of magsafe is that its not a stand or placement, you can pick it up and use it while it's charging. This can't do that, it's just a mat.

I found only news release about the ESR MagSafe compatible wireless charger but no actual reviews. I'll give my 2 cents this weekend after receiving it.

This is not entirely correct. Here is an explaination:

One of the biggest benefits of MagSafe is the improvement to wireless charging. With Qi wireless chargers, if your phone isn't perfectly centered on the coil, you will experience much slower charging speeds and not even realize. MagSafe aids this experience by using the magnets to properly align your phone and the charger.

That's fair but I think the most novel thing is that you can keep it charging while using it. If you can't find the charging spot on your own, wireless charging may not be for you. I have been wireless charging for ages and maybe once in a blue moon has it been off the spot. One time I know it was due to several calls coming in and vibrating it off. Either way, let us know what you think when you get it. Although ESR may shill here, they generally make great products.

You can look at their other halolock product for some reviews:
https://www.amazon.com/ESR-HaloLo...B08HNBKYMG

Looks like a great deal and I too am excited to see 3rd party magsafe.

Having said that, a lot of 3rd party magsafe chargers only support a maximum 7.5W (I believe including this one) versus the official charger can support 15W (if paired with the right USB-C plug - and the Apple one is known to work best for fastest charge, even if others are rated for higher power).

Because the charging current is 1/2 of Apple, I will not bite. Maybe next time though.

Also this would product compare to the Apple Magsafe Duo which is a very surprising $130.

I received mine from Amazon today. It looks nice and sleek, certainly much better build quality than the recent ESR 3-in-1 deal for $18. Magnetic lock works, don't know its strength compare to Apple magsafe charger since I don't own one. Wireless charging is fine for my new iphone 12 pro max. I am surprised to find out it even charge through the $20 Otterbox Defender case that many of us bought from Target/Walmart.

I posted below in the other thread but paste here in case other people find it useful.

Here are the result of wireless charging of iphone 12 pro max with the Otterbox defender case on from my own test:

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DBXZZN3/ works in horizontal but not vertical charging
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B082SV1NF1/ does not work
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B083SL5265/ does not work
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HNBKYMG/ works
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZYLQ2TP/ does not work
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073VLPY1D/ does not work
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Ce...0797F2V5C/ I have two of these, one works (horizontal charging only), the other one blinks red while charging so doesn't work well.
Based on the result of last one, I think the defender case is so thick that some of the chargers are on borderline so even for the same charger model ymmw.
