After buying one of these knives from slick deals and it was defective out of the box'. I contacted the manufacturer every means possible for over a month and never got any emails or phones from them. Since my issue was a safety problem I ended up throwing the knife away... never again
WHATADEAL gives 20% off. I just tried it.

I got the Slinger a few months back and although it is relatively small, I think the quality makes up for it, still no rattle after almost 2 months of using it, I'm still not sure if it's real D2 but it's kinda hard to sharpen which would normally be an indication that its real D2.
I've enjoyed my slinger since ordering from the last deal. I Carry it everyday and hardly notice it clipped to my pocket. Overall it's Lightweight but still has a solid sturdy blade.

Thanks, I ordered the Ledge. If the D2 is the same quality as in the Slinger, it's a great price. I'm very happy with my Slinger for the past 6 months.
The blade shape on the Ledge looks more useful.
I'm far from a knife guru so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I bought the ausus when it was on sale for $16. They shipped quickly and it arrived sharp with a smooth action. Could you do better for the price? I'm not sure but it seemed like a solid deal for what I got and I've been happy with it. Might pick one of these up also.
I'm not a knife guru, do have a few Japanese kitchen knives. These knives peeked my interest. Having bearings to open the knife makes sense to me. It's 59-61 rockwell hardness, same as my kitchen knives. I can relate to hard sharp blades more than softer ones. I ordered the Slinger and the Ledge. The Slinger looks like it can really be worked, has bearings and locks. The edge doesn't have bearings or lock. I like the ledge because it has a straight edge, and I have a every-once-in-awhile slow moving hobby of peeling, cutting apples for cheap kicks. They also carry a bottle opener for $6 which design makes sense to me. Black/red slinger is fugly! Looks like something Eddie Van Halen would carry around when he was 12. Wait, now I suddenly want to buy it.
Anyway, I went to some youtube videos and people seem to like the Slinger.

I've had the exact opposite experience. Ordered the ausus and slinger, had some wiggle in the ausus and statgear sent me free return shipping + replacement in no time
