Too bad it does not have 3.5mm input. For that, they offer JBL Charge 4 which is almost twice the cost of this one (even with Black Friday pricing).

I hate how to get 'improved sound quality' you have to sacrifice features.

Flip 5 works with other 'Party speakers' and the Flip 4 is Connect+ - they got rid of the aux jack and built-in microphone which is a deal breaker for me. I've answered calls on the 4 more than few times and I think getting rid of the mic was a bad move on their part. Also, no Bluetooth 5?

Pass...hopefully the 6 doesnt make the same mistakes

I need a speaker for my hot tub, but the reviews on this look pretty suspect. Lots of bad ones and tons of obvious shill reviews... Lots of people saying the battery life isn't 12 hours, more like 4 and only mono?

flip 3 was good till the battery (that can't be replaced) died. Now i have to plug in an external battery.. which doesn't charge fast enough so it will have an awful sound with bass heavy songs. I guess all speakers will suffer from this at one point, but frustrating regardless.

Have a look on Youtube, there's bound to be reviews and you'll actually get to see / hear from yourself.

This is a good speaker, although for the price you can get significantly better sound quality with stereo separation as well. No Aux jack either if you care about that. The pro is the design is very nice, lightweight, has proper USBC charging, and good battery life. It's still worth it for those reasons, if you want the best sound then go for Anker, Earfun, or Tribit. They all sound superior but also have downfalls.
