Home Depot has the DEWALT Steel Drill and Driver Bit Set with Right Angle Adapter and Tough System Case (35-Piece) on sale for $14.88 w free delivery.

The right angle adapter normally sells for around this price so it is a good deal if you are looking for bits.

They released a new version of the bit adapter and it is on sale for $20 at a variety of places so I am assuming they are just trying to get rid of old stock.

There seems to be a bit of confusion in these comments, so I did a bit of research. I don't claim this information to be 100% correct, but it is the best information that I could find.

One poster said the right-angle adapter was #DWARA100. This is not correct. That model is older and visually different. Another poster was correct in saying that it is actually #DWARA60. The other similar model that Dewalt currently sells is #DWARA120, which is black instead of yellow. Now, what is the difference between the 60 and the 120? Hard to say exactly. From the exterior, they are identical. Both have a 1.5" depth, both have a hole in the back to push the bit out, both are magnetic and impact-rated. The packaging for the 60 seems to claim 5x longer life. The packaging for the 120 varies between 5x and 10x. On the Lowe's website the packaging claims 5x longer life, but in person the packaging says 10x. (5x or 10x of what, I don't know.)

Anyways, the main difference seems to come down to weight. The 60 is about 5.29oz while the 120 is about 6.67oz, according to the website linked below. This difference in weight appears to be primarily in the gearbox, indicating that the 120 probably has beefier gears and will hold up to more abuse, especially from impact drivers. Nobody on the internet seems to have taken apart the gearboxes to confirm this theory, but it seems likely.

If you want more information on the subject, the Q&A on Lowe's and Home Depot didn't have any good answers, but the comments section on this [toolguyd.com] post were very helpful.

Also, ignore the information on Dewalt's website regarding these adapters. Their information seems to be outdated.
Wish I could find one of these with a left angle adapter
Daaaad!

I have the new right angle driver and it's great! I also have this bit set and the Milwaukee one that is on sale for $20 is way better and definitely worth the extra $5

I think the new one is impact rated. I haven't used it for that yet, just getting into tight corners made it worth the $20 by itself.

It's actually even cheaper than I thought. I'm going to get another set just to have. https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/601247

Earlier this month I discovered I needed a right angle adapter while reinstalling some cabinet hinges. I ran across an earlier SD deal on a right angle adapter kit which was actually less expensive than if I purchased the right angle adapter alone.

https://slickdeals.net/f/14475647-home-depot-black-friday-dewalt-maxfit-35-piece-driving-bit-set-for-14-88?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

The first thing I discovered when I picked up the kit was that the adapter does not accommodate a standard drill bit, only those with a 1/4 - 5/16 in hex shank. Fortunately after searching through my pile of tools, I discovered that I did in fact have a set of unused 1/4 in hex shank drill bits. Also please note that this is not impact rated (despite being packaged with impact-rated bits), but for my purposes I think I will only be using it on rare occasions and it is good to know that I shouldn't use it with my impact drill.

This line would suggest it's impact rated: "Impact ready performance designed for use in impact drivers"

I bought the Dewalt right angle adapter from amazon for $20 that was on the front page the other week. This post is a better deal but I don't feel like going through the hassle of returning the Amazon order, and then ordering from HD, all to save $5 and get some bits I don't really need.

If the bits have a 1/4" hex shank, then yes.

Nice, cheap set. The case will stack with the smaller stackable Dewalt, and even Craftsman, cases.

Some reason I'm not showing free shipping other than an 8.99 shipping charge. Anyone getting the same thing?
