I believe this is the lowest price ever offered from JBL on the PB100, which is a really great speaker in this market. Peace

Not saying one product is better than the other, but one company makes nothing but audio products, another is known for portable battery packs and charging cables...

I own 2 of these and 2 party box 300. One word of caution for DJ-ing is the audio lag on these specifically. Almost 1 full second of lag, keeping them out of sync with headphones plugged into a mixer or controller (this delay exists even when using the wired connection) so if you are comfortable mixing In The headphones only can be a great solution. If you like the one headphone tactic it constantly sounds like a train wreck.

My experience with the 300s: I can say these things are good for only one thing: playing one speaker at loud volume while plugged in. Sound quality is noticeably poor and paired speakers will CONSTANTLY go out of sync with each other. I had both replaced by JBL before I realized it was a design flaw and not faulty speakers. The Soundcore Rave manages to sound even worse than the JBLs though.

Picked one up last night, sound is very impressive. Now I'm contemplating a second one and stands for parties...

Just unpacked this thing and turned it on. Amazing, sounds great, can't even comfortably turn it up all the way up. I used to have a full PA system, getting all these nostalgia vibes because this is the best quality music I've heard in my apartment since then. Not a big RGB junkie but the lights are particularly well-diffused and visually-appealing.

Didn't even realize it had a plug for guitar/mic...

Buying another one right now for an xmas gift

Thanks for posting the deal!

What's do you mean audio lag? The both speaker not play sound at the same time?
Bluetooth always lags, though some products are worse than others. It's not a problem with just audio or most situations with low bandwidth like a mouse.

But you try to send full audio over bluetooth and it is going to lag enough to be noticeable to most folks if there is video to watch along with it, like watching streaming videos on a laptop or whatever and trying to use a bluetooth speaker. Need to use a wired connection for that.

Sounds like these just have a lot of lag over bluetooth, as a full second is a lot. Might be tied to protecting for the multi-speaker capability.

Other fella mentioned problems with multiple speakers and unfortunately there are also limits using bluetooth like these and most other inexpensive speakers do. Bluetooth range isn't great and lots of things (wifi, microwaves, etc.) interfere with it. Wifi or wired is better for multiple connections.

I have ALL the JBL speakers as well as over 50 other portable Bluetooth speakers. Bang for your buck, this is hands down the best speaker out there. My favorite go to is the Marshall Stockwell II. Just wished it was louder since the killburn nor the tufton can produce the same sound stage. No brainer if anyone is on the fence. YES, this sounds better than the 200, 300, 310, and 1000.
This does not sound better than the 1000. Full stop.

I've compared the 3 (100, 300 and 1000) extensively and own all but the 300 (gave that to my brother, since it overlapped a lot with the 100 and he has a huge yard to try and entertain his teenage kids during covid)

It sounds better at lower volumes than the 300 - definitely.. It also has just as much punch through about 75% of the volume range... but then the 300 runs away with overall loudness if you're trying to fill a bigger space.

You saying it sounds better than the 1000 makes me think you don't actually own nor have ever used the 1000, and only watched that one youtube review with the dude using binaural mics who contrasted them.

I agree that for most users - it's better than the 300.

Wholeheartedly agree that it's the best bang for the buck.

Picked up this morning, loving it so far. Louder and heavier bass than the JBL Xtreme2 I picked up from previous SD $150. Returning xtreme2
The PB100 and the Xtreme 2 are really in completely different categories for speakers. If you want a smaller, carry around speaker with full waterproof protection, obviously the PB100 wouldn't be an option. If you consider the sale prices, however, you are getting a world of difference in performance between the two for just a $50 difference in price.

I just picked up this JBL PartyBox100 today from BestBuy. It sounds great, the bass is powerful and it fills a room nicely. Perfect for my needs, which is playing music from the same room from my phone. It's portable and the Bluetooth works until about 10 feet. I'm planning to give one of this as a gift, as well.

Lower than recent deals by $50 and last year's Black Friday price of $229.00.

My brother has one of these and it sounds great.

Been looking to buy one and almost jumped on it when it was $250. This is awesome for $200.

I've listened to a few Bluetooth speakers, and unless you're just looking for something that very portable (not saying this isn't, it's just bigger than most), I think it's very hard to beat this for this price.

It also sounds fantastic for karaoke if you're Asian and into that kind of thing https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...es/biggrin.gif
My brother also has a Bose S1 Pro and it sounds pretty similar. I would say audio wise, the Bose sounds cleaner, but definitely not $400 better. I actually prefer the JBL for karaoke.

Just an all around great buy for $200!
Why listen to music in mono seems like the 1950s.

just buy a wired mic, and then get an 82" tv with a sound bar, and then goto youtube and type in any song with karaoke and your golden... kids love this.
