Progressive overloading can be acheived in many ways, really what you want to acheive is increased intensity not just resistance that's only 1 variable. Some ways I can think of are increased reps, decreased rest between sets, increase speed, super slow reps, play around with leverage. Anyone who thinks they cannot get in very good shape with a pair of 52.5# DBs doesn't really know how to exercise.
Exactly my point. Of course higher weights would be ideal. But in the absence of it, this is still a good set of used with some variations

Probably unlikely due to demand, but I'll wait to see if they have any Black Friday promotions. Maybe supply is starting to outpace demand. I'd find these easier to justify at $249-$299.

Where do you see that? It's possible for a single dumbbell.

If you're looking at the MH site on Google shopping, that is most likely a scam.

I had actually seen a set of SelectTechs in my local Dick's a few months ago and was tempted to get them until I read about the plastic deterioration issues. I ended up getting a pair of Powerblock Personal Trainers about a month later. It seems almost negligent that they'd design a product that could, through simple wear and tear rather than abuse, degrade to the point that they could potentially drop a plate on some critical body part.
they will learn their lesson when somebody gets injured, finds out it's a long-time known issue, and sues them.

Anyone used this instead? Jaxjox? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pcmc...and~JAXJOX

Would love some feedback comparison against 4 months wait and other similar products.
