It used to be the case until few months ago. But recently it has changed. You can find them in stock pretty regularly at Best Buy, Walmart, Game Stop etc. I am referring to Nintendo Switch in general and not Mario Cart bundle.

Is this the new "better battery" switch? I remember they had the same Mario Cart bundle last year with the old 1st gen switches.

IMO not really. I think the Kohl's deal still crushes AAFES provided you have good use for the $90 Kohl's cash.

Keep in mind the AAFEs doesn't come with the game or Nintendo online which is around another $50 value.
