Just spoke to loyalty and they are offering $300 off any new iPhones without trading in your old device. You are stuck for 30 months with bill credits. If you decide to pay off the device early, you will lose the $300 and end up paying the full price of the phone.

Why would you do this when the public offer is $700 off? ($500 off if you deduct the $200 you'd have to spend on a used iPhone 8 for the trade in portion).

Maybe you don't have a phone to trade in or don't want to trade in. Can you still chat with the loyalty department? They keep giving me a number to call, but I can't call them right now.

You don't want to trade in your phone and keep your current plan without changing it?

You can keep your plan either way (as long as it's unlimited).
You don't have to trade in your phone. You can just buy used iPhone 8 and use it as a trade in.

Call 1.800.331.0500. keep pressing 0 until it asks you for your pin. Wait till you get a rep and just say id like to speak to someone with the loyalty Department. They'll ask why, just say you they were previously helping me with an upgrade. Sometimes they'll do a warm transfer, other times they'll transfer and just have you hold till someone answers.

Since when does loyalty do the 30 month bill credits? Previously, they did the two-year contract subsidiary price - anyone have success with that on the iPhone 12? I did that a few years ago and was hoping to do the same this year.

I called. They said its one or the other. Cause the trade in credit is over bill statements also

They are only doing it with the 12's. All the other phone are 24 months. I asked if I can pay off the phone early and they said yes, but then you won't get the $300 since it's a monthly credit for 30 months. $10 a month credit for 30 months = $300. It really isn't the slickest or best deal out there. But it works for those that don't want to trade in and and prob isn't leaving Att for 30 months.

Loyalty via chat is no more, unfortunately. Definitely miss it since you could multitask. FYI I tried typing "loyalty" into chat and it threw me into the (very long) queue and still gave me a billing agent.

Never mentioned unlimited to me, I'm already on unlimited, maybe that's why.

Previous years was 450 off and you could pay it off immediately. ATT starting to lose loyalty discounts...
