Thanks for the post. I've been wondering if BF would bring deals on hoops. I started looking at one of these about a month ago and have no idea what the best brand is or best choice. My search found brands such as MegaSlam, Goalsetter, Gorilla, Pro Dunk, Rival Hoops, and Ironclad. I've been wondering which of these brands would do BF sales, I think most of them won't. Most of all I'm shocked a basketball hoop costs this much in general.

Looks like Dick's isn't even running a promo on Goalrilla this year - https://bestblackfriday.com/ads/d...ack-friday

Is it possible that "select in-ground" might be Goalrilla?

This is a great deal as they don't go on sale with this much of a discount more than a few times a year. Also, looks like they only charge sales tax on like six states so tax free for month to help offset the shipping cost. Thanks OP.

Quite Possible. Its says was price 1499 and there is a Goalrilla at 1499 so I might wait a few more days to see what Dick's price is.

I was struggling with the $200 shipping on the GS60 so i decided to try and price match at Dicks. The first store was willing to match the price but wanted to include the $200 shipping in the price and couldn't provide the free pole pad. I called another and they were willing to match the $998 but also couldn't provide the pad. I don't think i need the pad at this point in time so i decided to go that route.

I've been closely watching Goalrilla pricing for months. Dicks is holding at $1,499 on the GS60c and I couldn't get any local stores to price match. However as others have mentioned, the sales tax (8% for me) off sets some of the shipping and the pad is a nice bonus for us so in the end, with pad cost factored in, it's cheaper through BGS.

The toughest part of my decision was going with the 60" GS60c or the 54" CV54 which has thicker steel, heavier weight rim and better/more pads. Both goals come out to exactly the same ($1,199). I ended up going with the GS60c which is a nice size and neighbors have had the same model for years without any stability concerns.

Its a little cheaper here if you don't want the poll pad. Only 100.00 shipping. I tried price matching it and they would but not include the poll pad.

Was waiting for this for a long time ... got the CV60 package as it seems to be a better deal as compared to GS60C.
