Depends which one you are comparing, Netgear rbk50 has a 4x4 5Ghz dedicated stream so would be superior. The rbk20/40 has 2 2x2 5 Ghz streams one dedicated for backhaul, so similar. But the orbis are generally costlier
Is a three pack of routers going to be as user friendly to set up as the usual Router and those satellite things? (Yep, I don't know much, but I'm in a big house now....need the range)
So dumb question, but if I get two routers I then need two modems right? And those need to be high speed so it becomes an overall expensive setup?
No, they are a mesh network. You need one modem/router to plug into the nest router, then you just plug the other (insert number here) into power outlets and kind of spread them around the house to get even coverage. The Google Home app makes it very easy to set up.
Interested in the Nest Wifi Router 3-Pack. I currently have the Netgear Orbi RBK20W. Would I technically be taking a step back going from Tri-Band to Dual Band? I hate the Orbi App and I'd like a Router at each TV Stand for wired connectivity.

Do the two routers have to be wired together using a switch?
