Woosh, way over your head there bud.... They were referring to the number of pcie lanes on x570 vs b550 and that there is only one pcie slot so not all the extra lanes will be utilized on the x570 chipset.
I don't usually reply but your comment is overly rude and arrogant when you don't even understand the point of this motherboard.

Re-read the specs of this motherboard or read 2 replies back and you'll understand why there's only 1 NVMe slot. This motherboard utilized 16+4+4.

As another comment pointed out, this uses Intel mounting for the cooler, which could be good or bad depending on what you're planning. Or you can go all out with a bespoke monoblock if you want to really push a 5950x in a small form factor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08D1XH285/

Nah dog, you obviously misunderstood the post you quoted. I suggest you reread my post. I spelled it out for you. The posted you quoted had nothing to do with the number nvme slots, its was referring to the number of pcie lanes on b550 vs x570.

Yeah of course, but the advantages of X570 over b550 are less pronounced on an ITX board because of the singular PCIE slot and one M.2
Obviously referring to the PCIE lanes. Not just the number of m.2 slots.

It is an ITX board... that is expected.
Idiots down voting... ITX form factor does only have 1 pcie slot.

Are there any ITX boards with more than 1?
My asrock b550 phantom gaming itx/ax board has 2. One gen4.0 and one gen3.0

Did you miss the ITX form factor part?

If they did find room for one extra it would prob get covered by the gpu anyway. They usually do

Because of that sweet sweet 1x PS/2 Mouse/Keyboard Port

No but honestly. This has SPDIF which is what I look for. A lot of other features I'd never use though.

I haven't picked out an itx mobo for my next build but I have to be able to do better than this for half the price
Do you know if this motherboard will fit my Dell optiplex 7040. Would like to upgrade but not sure it's the right board. Thanks in advance

I bought this board back in July. It wasn't my first choice, but as others have mentioned - If you don't need TB3, I'd get a different board. Only 1 m.2 slot for SSD and it's behind the board so you'll probably want a heatsink. Also, not enough usb ports, no type c header, and having to use an intel cooler was really annoying.

Got a MEG ACE x570 mobo and a r6 pc case and now thinking of selling them instead of opening and then get itx mobo and case.... butt he itx ones are all underwhelming. first off I don't trust asrock or really even gigabyte. Then asrock ony 1 nvme ssd. Then none of the x570 itx boards have a front usb type c. All x570 ones have chipset fan. All x570 itx ones without 2.5 lan. msi b550 itx board rated pretty badly. asus b550 board has a fan on it. Starting to wonder if I should just make peace with my build being 40 pounds of weight rather than the hassle and worse products by going to itx. oh and psu.... the only 2 top psus for itx builds are corsair sf750 and seasonic sgx 650.... both of which are OOS everywhere other than places that are price gouging. And even their normal prices are far above atx psu prices.
