Can these be hard on charging ports? I'm thinking if the device doesn't fit perfect this charger may flex the port to much to often. I'm also thinking my A7 10.4" tablet will just fall over.
I don't do wireless or fast charging for the above reasons. I'm convinced that a lot of Galaxy S series batteries have met an early death because of these charging methods. I just slow charge my lithium ions when needed during the night and never had a cellphone battery seem weaker or give up the ghost during the first 2 1/2-3 years.
Fast charging is also another that decreases battery life.
That's usually not an issue actually. Keeping the battery at 100% or close to it is likely to affect battery life more significantly. I would keep capacity at 80% max if you're really concerned about battery life including EVs.
It creates heat but normal slow charging does not get that hot. It gets much hotter using the device than from charging
Wireless charging (slow or fast) does get hotter/warmer than cable charging. Plus with wireless the area where the heat is generated is right where the battery is, so the heat is right on the battery.

while I understand what you're saying when I plug my phone into a standard QC charging cable the phone gets much hotter than on a normal charging stand that's 45-90 degrees. Getting my multimeter with temp probe sometime today so I might run a test on temp while charging just to see for fun
I'm one of those people who buy (usually overpriced) docks for every phone and tablet, and after trying out a few different USB C docks, I like these the most. The quality is high, the base is weighted, and they support fast charging. I had two and just recently bought a third one from Amazon Warehouse for $16, so to me this is a fantastic deal.

Your battery longevity will suffer if you use wireless charging on a regular basis.
