I got one but not thanks to this, waiting for a SD notification is too slow. I used Distill.io on a PC at home (cloud is not free) and it actually worked, refreshing every 30 seconds.

Got an email and even had time to turn on laptop from cold, open gmail, click on the email, add to cart, play the "wait for the button to turn yellow" game, finally added to cart, had to re-log-in, FSCKING BB ASKING ME FOR VERIFICATION CODE SENT TO EMAIL (!!!), go back to gmail, wait a few seconds for verification to arrive, farking closed the BB tab by mistake, CTRL+SHIFT+T, copy/paste the code while praying the tab restores all previously done (it did), changing my payment to PayPal (dat Chase 5%), log in to PayPal, and finally placing the order.

Pretty easy and stress-free.

Search the whole site for RTX 3070. They're still available. Just picked up a Gigabyte version in white.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?st=rtx+3070&_dyncharset=UTF-8&_dynSessConf=&id=pcat17071... [bestbuy.com]

The MSI version is also available. I just purchased one for myself (FINALLY!!!!)

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-...Id=6438278

Edit #2: While they're sold out, I have to say I'm very happy with how BB did this. You add it to the cart, it waits a few minutes while you watch, and then you can add it again. At this point, it'll send a 2FA code to your email. Added to the cart and purchased from here. Hopefully this fights the bots back!!

Thanks. Is there a way to prevent false alerts? At the moment, when rendering the page, the Best Buy site is showing "Select Options" then it changes to "Sold Out" after a few seconds. This is generating false alerts. Thanks.

You just have to be patient. Go to site for all the 3070, you'll see all cards "sold out". Just keep refreshing til any of them turns blue, then click on details. It will change to yellow, then immediately click "add to cart". There's a second verification through email or text you need to input before the process can be completed.

Yes, look like Best Buy is changing their process, got the following when selecting a card shown as in stock...

How it's going to work:
Every few minutes, we're going to release more inventory.
Shortly, the button below will turn back to yellow (unless we sell out).
At that point, try adding it to your cart again.
Pro Tip: If that works, checkout as fast as you can. It won't be reserved until you are in checkout. Good luck!

The Verification went straight to my spam folder too. So do keep that in mind. Couldn't get 3070 nor 3080, but somehow allowed me to get the 3090

Same for me, only the 3090 went through. Not even sure I want a card that expensive...guess I'll just flip it if buyer remorse sets in.

Happy with how BB did this?!

I'm unhappy to say the least with what a pile of poop this whole GPU release / sale fiasco has been on the part of Nvidia, Best Buy, Amazon, EVGA, et. al. Completely disgusting mess all around and that's not even getting into the ridiculous pricing and anti-consumer practices that NVIDIA has been doing for many years.

Completely by accident (I hadn't seen this post nor used any other tools / information) I managed to get one from this mess and I have to say I think this whole thing is a way worse time wasting / stressful mess than I've EVER seen even considering the "good old days" of massive crowds for BF sales at the store(s), hugely long lines, insufficient inventory stocked in the physical stores, etc.

Camping out in front of a physical store all night in a line and waiting to have the chance to buy something is probably LESS wasted time and stress than what they've managed to come up with this time. At least when you're IN LINE and have something resembling a ticket you just need patience and you know you'll eventually get something when it is your turn -- NOT HERE!

In the "virtual" madness there's not even a "deal" it's everyone waiting to pay AT OR ABOVE MSRP for something that's been "released" for MONTHS and probably thousands of people are wasting literally hours each fighting with their crappy web sites / carts / check out systems, refreshing web pages, etc.
just to manage to buy something that they should have been able to place an order for two months ago.

All that any SANE vendor had to do was set up a system where people register and place a back order with their name / address / etc. and then wait to get notified when their order was able to be filled so at only that point they could approve or refuse the final payment and kick off the payment & shipping.
I'd have gladly done that on 17 september for the few model(s) of interest, spent like 10 minutes total in the process, and gone on with my life waiting for my order to come in.

Instead I spend countless hours in frustration refreshing dozens of web sites wondering IF any will actually indicate stock and accept an order only to have the thing actually DISSAPEAR from my cart mid check out process like five times over the past two months. What kind of a way is that to treat your customers?! No BUSINESS has to deal with crap like that when they order stuff -- they just place the order and a few weeks later something shows up off the truck / boat, no hassle! Why don't we deserve the same consideration?

It is all a joke and the joke is on the consumer. The video game here is NOT what is played when you order a GPU and use it -- the real video game is NVIDIA / AMD / best buy / amazon / evga / ... laughing and watching tens of thousands of people acting like game AIs madly hitting F5 and refreshing and add to cart and waiting and clicking and racing to see who can fill in the check out form the fastest only to have the "prize" disappear mid check out and then everyone repeats the game the next day! What a joke!

Funny thing is I don't even PLAY games, I just wanted to order a GPU upgrade literally for the first time in 12 years just literally enough to do modern GPU oriented SW development with and have the interfaces needed to drive a couple 4k monitors which the previous models couldn't and replace those GPUs / systems that failed with age. I never thought that a simple upgrade would be such a fiasco! UGH. I will be happy if I never buy a thing from these exploitive and insane companies again.

So tired of sites releasing these or cpus or the ps5 without telling times ahead of time. Even though that gives scalpers notice, it STILL would be easier than having no clue what time. Some of us can't sit there refreshing pages and being on call for websites 24 hours a day in case we get lucky and notice it in time.

Also the FAIR WAY to do it is for them to CHANGE their stupid system to one that allows you to have it reserved for 10 mins once it's in your freakin cart, not have to fight through website issues to check out and worry someone will take it away from you while you type in your info (that way i could sue gcs instead of ccs).

I am on the evga waiting list, but there are AT LEAST 150 people ahead of me still. Why so many, you ask? Because BEST BUY had me thinking I'd get one there on launch day so I didn't get around to the evga site until an hour late.

And to top this all off, I bought the 5900x from b&h right off the bat and they don't plan to ship for another month. lol.

Honestly I WOULD RATHER have the 3060 ti, anyway, though.

At least BB was better than that crap walmart ps5 drop yesterday where it kept giving me captchas repeatedly in an infinite loop and I didn't realize in time that I had to clear my cache to get it to stop.

To me, it's the monster size of the 3090. Didn't know the FE is actually way bigger than the 3rd party cards. I didn't know it until order went through....it takes 3 slots!
