The short answer is NO, you're not maxing out your receptacle circuit

Circuits are measured in amps. Most residential circuits are 15 amps for receptacles.

600w is power. Watts = volts x amps. In US volts is 120.

If the amp consumed exactly 5 amps you'd be at 600 watts. Amps are not 100% efficient. With a class D amp they're 80% efficient so you'd need 720 watts to output 600w so 720/120 = 6 amps. 6 or so amps or about is the draw on your 15 amp circuit breaker
I bought this sub during a previous slickdeal for the same amount. Solid build. Great sound. I'm not an audiophile but am glad I purchased this sub.
Purchased two of these first time they were posted. Very happy with my purchase 😊

This may be a stupid question but does this mean running the subwoofer plugged in is like adding an additional 600w to my circuit? I think I'm getting maxed out with stereo,tv,hue system, aquariums, phone chargrers, router and modem... 😮

edit: looks like RSL removed the code for $25 off their Speedwoofer on black friday so now you will need to buy two of them to save $50... pretty lame.

RSL Speedwoofer 10s is going to be $375 ($25 off) on black friday if anyone is interested. The RSL actually has good reviews and was picked as the best for the money by wirecutter.
And I think they don't have tax in many states. That will be additional saving bars on where you live.

it will not use 600w continuously. power consumption is based on the demand (i.e. how hard you drive it) and the power load is variable, it peaks and valleys.

Costco had a similar 12inch sub that was 300 or 400 watts for $150. Can anyone comment on the value aspect of these two? You could buy 2 for price of 1. Was going to post a link but don't see it listed.

I got the one from Costco. It has a good bass. Thinking to buy a 2nd one.

Dood... Ordered the cherry RP440C and cherry RP280FAs from Adorama(both slickdeals).

https://slickdeals.net/f/14325545-klipsch-reference-premiere-rp-440c-2-way-center-speaker-cherry-279...

https://slickdeals.net/f/14563931-klipsch-reference-premiere-rp-280fa-atmos-floorstanding-speakers-c...

Was hoping for the better 112 cherry to come up(returned the Costco R-120). In for it(to complete the matching RP-bundle)! Thanks for posting. %SLICKDEALS%!!!
