Low THD (less than or equal to 5%) makes this a great generator for running electronics, and it's a great price for the wattage.

Veterans can get an additional 10% off.

<5% THD is relatively common now in portable generators. Retailers are asking for it more often now from manufacturers. You do need to look for it but there's more availability in the market now than 5-10 years ago.

I've been looking for the Westinghouse WPRO8500 to be in stock for several months. After contacting Westinghouse, they said it's not going to be anytime soon.

This Ford was my second place choice due to slightly lower runtime, but I'll happily take it for this price.

I just ordered this one:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Westingh...1001107138

It's also dual fuel and <5% THD but I paid more than double for it. I still have the option to cancel the order, is this the better buy?

For those looking for a large portable generator with low THD, look at the Caterpillar RP12000. They came out with a portable line a few years ago, and the largest one is the only one guaranteed 5% or less THD. I don't think many people outside the construction industry are even aware they are made. Not to take anything from the generator posted, but I bought the Cat a few years ago because it was the only one in that size with those specs. The Generac portables, while huge, have very dirty power (like most portables).

You might want to take a look at the Wen 56380i inverter generator posted right now with an all time low price of $599. Above your budget s bit, but a great deal. If you factor in free shipping and no tax, it may just be lower priced than a $500 generator with tax and shipping.

I was relying on the OP's description.

OP hasn't backed up his claim on the THD. Until he does it is just that, a claim of low THD.
