Of course. Kittys love running water. Each cat is of course different and they are all picky.
Your best bet is to buy the fountain and tell the kitty he or she can't drink out of it. As soon as he(or she) realizes you don't want them to drink out of it, it will be their primary watering spot.

What's the advantage of using Amazon when it's available at Walmart? I see lot of people say Amazon price matched for something' that is available at local stores. Is it because of free delivery/returns or convenience or am I missing something else?

For me personally it's supporting a company that treats their employees fairly and has ethical values. It's also a lot more convenient for returns since there are so many different avenues to go about returning.
How far we've come that Walmart is now the ethical choice...

I'm not sure if the Amazon is worse than Walmart is worse than Amazon battle is really the hill to die on here.

If we're being honest, both companies are horrible. If you really want your $ to do some good, either A) support a local small business with your purchase or B) take some of the money you saved on SD and donate to a local non-profit. Amazon links can helpful due to the free shipping and 5% back for folks with Amazon Prime card.

Back on topic, some of the reviews on Amazon indicate poor pump lifespan and quality control issues. I'm in the market for a fountain, but I think this might be a bit to cheaply built for my taste

If you have a Michaels near you, they often have deals on their fountains. They have many more styles and prices are better when they run their frequent sales.

I think you flipped that. Walmart is NOT an ethical company. Amazon over Walmart any day.
Sorry, your post was a little vague on which one you were vilifying Big Grin

All the recent hatred I've heard towards any retailer has been mostly Amazon — overworked warehouses, stack-ranked employee reviews, harsh and random firings, widespread burnout. Meanwhile Walmart has been touting raises and bonuses.

I'm not picking sides, but seems like Amazon is the whipping boy for retail over the past couple years.

Hahaha you seem to not know people who work at either. Neither of these places treat their employees ethically or fairly

Don't really have anything nice to say about walmart employees, the lines for returns and customer service is f'n terrible.
