Note this is a third party seller. Otherwise, seems like a decent deal. Was about to pull the trigger until I noticed this.

1 Change the CPU to i5-3475s or i7-3770 (or even i3-3245),
2 add an SSD
now it is MacOS Catalina ready. Stick Out Tongue

I'm running a 7010 SFF at home currently. It's the i5 with 24GB ram, 1TB SSD, 4TB spinner, and a low profile GTX 1650. My SSD is in place of the dvd drive with a cheap slim drive adapter. Not a bad little machine, and mine is running folding @ home all the time as well.

That being said, the pictures at the link are not the SFF. The first is the desktop, and the second appears to be the USFF. Also, the 7010 has a mix of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, not all 2.0. The SFF will run 32Gb of ram (8GB x 4).

It's 8 yrs old and these are all off lease very well used machines. Guess the one plus is that there are tons of dead ones out there for parts.... They are on the 7090 now.

I have exact same specs, except with an Rx 590. Runs everything well. Passmark similar to a latest gen base Ryzen mobile processor.

You can find similar priced off lease, older gen workstations on Amazon Warehouse as "renewed."

This is the going rate for a desktop of this class. I'd just ordered a HP version from amazon for $147, which I'm waiting to arrive:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/produ...UTF8&psc=1

The amazon HP has a slightly faster processor, 8GB RAM, only 500GB HD, but it has 2 displayport outputs so it can drive a dual monitor. The one in the OP looks like it can only drive a single digital display (no one wants to use an analog VGA these days). The HP also comes with win10 pro, and amazon's 90 day guarantee.

For either machine, add on a $50 SSD and you'd have a decent machine. This ancient desktop's i5-3470 is actually pretty fast. While the HP one I bought (for less money) is a little faster, even today's i5-1035g1 that you see in the latest laptops is only ~30% faster (partly b/c I'm comparing a desktop to a laptop -- there's another bump if comparing to today's desktop i5's)

I have been out of the PC game for a while. Would this run roblox and fortnite for my son? Not looking for high end gaming PC, just something to run said games with decent/good FPS and without tearing etc. can anyone advise? Thank you!

Solid price. I just purchased similar on ebay with 16gb for $183. My seller offered a year warranty. Tech_Leaf was the seller.
