Stop being a poor
So for internet connected devices, it is quite important not to cheap out. Unless you're super cyber security centric and run them on a totally separate network, updates and patches that come to expensive products like this are invaluable.

Plus general fixes to problems that arise. Phillips has a strong incentive to continually update their app and make connecting and controlling bulbs easy. Random seller of cheap-smart-leds on amazon doesn't care at all if their software is buggy.
My lifx failed after almost two years. All my Philips hue bulbs are still going strong. For area where I really need bright light, I just use Philips hue white a21 which are even cheaper than these ones. I don't need color where I care about brightness. Most of the time when I set the color I would like it to be dim and fill the room with some ambience.

Smoking deal, pretty sure this is the lowest they have been without being bundled with something else!

I got these for 25 each when Walmart was clearancing them out. I just don't think they got very bright. I guess for accent lighting they makes sense but I don't feel they get very bright when you're needing some light
Absolutely right - they are 800 lumens which was a problem in my kitchen fixtures with frosted glass - had to pick up some LIFX light which are 1100 lumens.

I wish hue would come out with something brighter since the LIFX disconnect randomly and need to be rebooted

Nice. Literally bought these last week from best buy for 99 for some new lamps. Going to price match themselves over chat for the 10 dollar difference.
