I use mine to bake no knead bread and it works great. Recipe i use calls for 3 cups of flour.

Got this yesterday and made my first loaf with it this morning. Worked fine for me and I like it better than my oval Le Creuset

My wife just used her turquoise Staub 4 qt. for the first time to whip up some homemade pizza sauce and we grilled some awesome pizza on our Weber Summit Charcoal on a pizza stone. At first she thought it would be too small. But like I told her, most of her cooking is for just our family of 4. It's nice to have this 9" round and 4" deep Staub for that. We can always get a larger 6 qt. or so later for family party cooking. Won't need to worry about that until next year.

Just a heads up, I picked up the 7qt last black Friday for $119. Feel like that is the perfect size for this thing. Quality is awesome, honestly kind of want both sizes.

I purchased one of these 4 qt Staub coquettes during a sale earlier this year. I use it a ton. I'm looking to get another, but hoping to find a deal on the 7 qt this time.

For the same price, williams sonoma has more colors, free shipping, and you don't have to give Bozos any money!

What brand? $119 for a 7qt Staub or LC would be a smoking hot deal.

For what an enameled cast iron pot is generally used for, this is very small. I'd much rather use a saucepan to make well - sauces, etc. Just easier all the way around - for the weight, having a handle, etc. For braises, etc. the larger sizes are much more useful - and it's just two of us. We have a 4 quart as well but it doesn't get used nearly as much.

I use it for sourdough, good size but i like the smaller 3.5 qt lodge with no enamel.

That shows up as $374.99 right now. Hopefully they bring that back this year.... https://www.crateandbarrel.com/st...roEALw_wcB
