I have given these sets away for years, good knives overall compared to what family, friends, and girlfriends typically have. The psychology point is not so relevant here as most people will at least want the chef, paring, and bread knife plus a storage block. (And maybe the kitchen shears). This set doesn't have all the extras that are bit always used and is a great value as the paring and chef knives (plus honing steel) alone are that cost, and BBB has long excluded expensive cutlery from the 20% off coupons.

As to the block versus magnet question, a block will not damage your knives unless you are losing them wrong. If you wash the knives before putting them away, there should be nasties inside and they are angled so dust won't typically style into the slots which you can rinse with water.. I've used a magnet bar and a knife tray but went back to a block after my kids were able to reach the drawer.
Another option for knife storage is to use a hanging knife tray. I have two installed on the side of my kitchen cabinets vertically at my eye level. They are great space savers and I like them a lot. I just wonder why they are not widely available. I got a new one as a giveaway from my local Cutco store and a vintage one from eBay.

That's super neat, and I think that's probably the future of knife storage
This is essentially what I have:

I think it works great, but you have to push down hard enough that it makes those high pitched scraping noise, otherwise it won't work.

BBB sent their coupons in 2 ways: email delivery for digital coupons and USPS delivery for paper coupons. Both digital coupons and paper coupons can be used in-store and online.

Most coupons are 20% off single item, but once a while, you will get coupons of '$15 off $50 total purchase', '$20 off $80 total purchase', '$10 off $30 total purchase', or even '$20 off $50 total purchase'.

Each coupon has its unique code. Digital coupons are already associated with your email address, so most likely they are not transferrable. Paper coupons are transferrable as long as you have not registered the code with your email address.

To get digital coupons, you just need to sign up with BBB here: https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/...gistration Not sure how long it will take them to send you a coupon code, but it is worth trying.

I am not sure how to get paper coupons. But if you have placed online orders with BBB in the past, there is a big chance that they will send you paper coupons after a while.

Hope this explanation helps. :-)

One man emblem = made in China. Two man emblem = made in Germany (these knives)
Incorrect. Two man ones can be made anywhere.

e. g. Their Twins have 2 men and made in Spain.

I have one of each in my drawer, the one-man version was made in Spain with German steel. I got it from my grandmother so I doubt that's still the case today. Just saying it's not an absolute rule.
we just got this set as a wedding gift and some steak knives to go along with this set. They both have the two man emblem but the set says made in germany, steak knives say made in spain.

I owned the costco version of these, and just wanted to note, they are worth about 150. No where near 500 dollar knife set

The Costco version of these are made in China

Cutlery and More has a Wusthof 7 pc set for $200, but otherwise, yes, this is a great deal and worth waiting for - if you can wait. My guess is that they'll be available well before July.
