Seems like a good price for a stainless steel dish rack this size. I know you can get cheaper, smaller more compact ones before anyone mentions. Sold & shipped by Walmart with free delivery.

I have an open kitchen, would this look odd when unoccupied?

If it's unoccupied, nobody would be there for it to look odd to.

I think it would look odd.

Besides, there's no tray, so it will either obstruct your use of the sink, or get water all over the counter (or both).

Decent looking but impractical for the way my SO and I cook.

Our average dish load is two plates, two skillets, a large saucepan, a mixing bowl, two spatulas, two knives, a cutting board, measuring cup, some storage containers, and utensils and cups.

Definitely not compatible with this unit

It's not practical, I know when I hand wash my dishes water is everywhere. Unless, you hand dry your plates with a towel first. I can image myself spending more time wiping the counter and hating myself for getting one.
