Yes, this price is more than the CX 55", but some are looking for this specific size or usage as a monitor. The newly add $100 Costco Shop card makes up for the price difference for me.

It's cheaper because they can make 6 55" from one glass panel. In order to make 2 48" they have to make 2 77". It's basically how they reduce waste on making tv glass.
Well shouldnt really matter too much given you can still pretty much do chroma 4:4:4, but its really sucky of LG to do this.

Further, plethora of issues with VRR. Keep that in mind before buying. Checkout HDTV test (Vincent) if you are planning to use this as a Computer monitor or buying it for Gaming consoles.

For me personally, I am going to skip this gen of OLED and wait next year for the them to fix these issues since they actually have HDMI 2.1 sources to do proper testing. This and the general lack of 3080 to buy.
I wish they'd just drop it to $1250😩 the 55" is too big for what I need

Same here since I want to use as a gaming monitor from 5-6' away. The 55" is actually cheaper. I just ordered the 48" from Best Buy knowing the price match is extended until mid January.

Yeah me too, but these are apparently selling really well for them. My old tv went bad and I got CX set-up yesterday. It's an awesome tv and not worth waiting for me now that they added the extra gift card.

Anyone have any experience on Costco matching their deals if you bought a 48" from them a few weeks ago when they didn't include the $100 gift card? I'm about to pack up the tv I bought and return it and buy another one just to get that extra $100 gc if they won't price match

also apart from size, this one has bluetooth while other CX (55" and 65") doesn't have it. (correct me if I am wrong)
